It’s not as if NOMOS Glashütte brought eight or ten new watches on the market every year. In fact, there was a long period of time when NOMOS did not introduce any new models at all. Ultimately, though, we make watches that are already so timeless in beauty and so good that they last a lifetime (or even two or three lifetimes). It is not necessary to have a different watch for each different occasion, or shirt, or dress—with NOMOS you’ll find that one watch is enough. NOMOS watches are appropriate for every time and every setting.
Yet, one thing is certain: people themselves have different tastes. Something that one person finds too small is already too big in the eyes of another. People also disagree on matters of form, color, function, and complexity. Some want watches to take scuba diving. Others are more concerned with having a power reserve indicator and a sapphire crystal back. And still others have a strong desire for grey-green watches.
Consequently, the original NOMOS models – Orion, Tangente, Tetra, and Ludwig—are faced with some competition—from Tangente Sport, Tangomat, Club, Zürich, and now, 2013, Ahoi—as well as from the diverse variations available for (almost) all our watch models. These new variations, with new and diverse colors and different configuration options, enrich our current collection. Now everyone can find the watch that suits them best. In spite of these innovations, though, the collection at NOMOS Glashütte remains straightforward and easily comprehensible.
