Observing the competition

Some make beautiful watches. Others make good or affordable ones, and again others manufacture watches in Glashütte. There are very few direct competitors but that’s not to say there are none. In order to see whether it stays this way, when NOMOS renovated the Glashütte train station in 2005, they built a large glass office. The NOMOS competition observer now sits in this office and looks out at the world, at the Glas­hütte main street crossing; he sees who comes and who goes.
